Private luxury tour to Saint Petersburg for two ladies

Q:Two ladies are traveling to Saint Petersburg in early April for 4 days. We understand that this is not the ideal time to visit the city, no White Nights and river cruises. They would like to make a sort of luxury trip, not just a whirl wind City tour.. sort of combine the siteseeing, with perhaps a long Tea Break in a lovely Tea room. There are number of questions.  Is there any special ballet they should see in Mariinsky or another theater? Are there any areas they should not visit (dangerous)? The best city area for accommodation? Should they spend time for Peterhof tour?

A: April is the very beginning of Spring in Saint Petersburg, so I recommend you to get the wellingtons. You can visit Mariinsky theater web site and chose the play. The Swan Lake is superhit, but in fact all ballet plays there are great! Peterhof in April is the wasting of time. No fountains and may be even closed for drying. Besides, Summer Garden in the city center is closed for reconstruction.
