Norwegian seafood festival in St. Petersburg




In nineteen restaurants of St. Petersburg will be held Norwegian seafood festival "Your trip to Norway."

The festival will be held from the 1-st to the 20-th of April. Chief cooks of restaurants developed specially for the festival author's recipes with Norwegian salmon, herring and trout Norwegian Fjords.

The most popular dishes by the results of the festival will be included in the main menu of the restaurant and the author of the most successful festival dish will be marked with a special prize of the Norwegian Fish Export Committee - a trip for two to Norway.

In borders of "Your trip to Norway" festival, NKVER also organizes a cooking contest in St. Petersburg between the city cooking schools. The programme "Emergency assistance Cooking" will support the contest. A competition for the best recipe of Norwegian seafood will be also held.

The event, dedicated to the opening of the festival, will be held on 27 March. at 16:00 in the restaurant "Triton".

The programme of the festival opening ceremony includes:

- Press Conference
- Ilya Lazerson, president of chief cooks' board of Saint-Petersburg, tells about the program of the festival
- tasting dishes from Norwegian seafood
At the opening ceremony of the Festival will present Seleset Julia (Julia Seljeseth), a representative of the Norwegian Fish Export Committee in Russia.
Restaurant "Triton" is situated on Fontanka River embankment 67.
