In a new three star hotel "Ibis" took place the meeting of big organizations in tourist and hospitality industry of Saint-Petersburg: travel agencies, hotels, museums and airlines. On a meeting were summarized the results of 2007 year, discussed topical problems and were talked over big city event projects of 2008 year.
Most important problems were discussed on a meeting. During the year was led the monitoring of situation with safety of foreign tourists and the results of monitoring were represented at the meeting. Besides, were prepared the offers for changing the legislation of Russian Federation, connected with spreading of "no visa required" rules on entry to Saint-Petersburg.
To solve the problem of traffic jams was supported the initiative of previous meetings to close the historical part of the city for private transport and distinguishing special traffic stripes for public and tourist transport. Moreover, went on work for organizing the parking places for tourist buses in central part of the city.
