Name Josef Brodsky became equally significant for Russian and for foreign reader. For our country his poetry is a "window" to a world culture. For the West his poetry puts off Russian curtains. His destiny put him many ordeals. During many years Brodsky was non-recognized and banished. Then he emigrated and received huge world fame. But, in spite of everything, the main thing for him always was creation, standing beyond governmental borders.

In video installation, which opening corresponds with twenty years anniversary of Nobel Prize are used audio recordings of Brodsky voice, unique shots of Nobel Prize handing, made by Alexander Stefanovich. All these materials will be shown on public for the first time.

Author of the photos, Alexander Stefanovich, was Brodsky's friend in the middle 60-ies. As a journalist he took part in Nobel Prize handing ceremony in Stockholm in December 1987. Alexander Stefanovich is also an eminent art figure, writer and a director of the film "Josef Brodsky. Life pages".
