Today (on the 19-th of March) Russian museum celebrates its anniversary. 110 years ago opened its doors a permanent exposition of Russian art. On the anniversary day museum prepared a present for the modern painting lovers - museum will work free of charge.

Russian museum - is the first in the country painting art museum, grounded in 1985 and opened on the 19-th of March (the 7-th of March in old times) in 1898. Russian museum today is a unique storage of art values, famous restoration centre, authoritative scientific-research institute, one of the biggest centres of culture and educational work, supervising the work of 260 Russian museums.
