3-star hotels will be built on the railway stations around the Russia. Company "Zheldoripoteka" (A "daughter" of OAO "Russian Railways") will realize the building project. These plans unveiled the General Director of the company, Vitaly Votolevsky. Previously the company has not been noticed in the realisation of such large projects in the commercial real estate.

It is anticipated that "Zheldoripoteka" will invest about 225 million dollars in the project of hotel network development. The company will attract investments by itself. OAO "Russian Railways" will provide the project with land plots for hotel building. In some cities, land plots, which don't belong to "Russian Railways", will be used for building.

First hotels will appear in Sochi, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Surgut, Astrakhan, Yaroslavl. Votolevsky said, that there are four cities, where land has already been chosen. In Moscow for hotels construction can be provided more than 92 hectares of land, situated in the freight yards of Rizhskiy, Kievskiy and Yaroslavskiy train stations. In Petersburg for the construction of a new hotel chain will be provided 55 hectares, belonging to Varshavskiy traffic centre.

Hotel on railway station will consist of 150-200 rooms. An international operator will look after the management of the net work. Negotiations with several companies on this matter are already under way.

Construction of hotels will start this year. It is anticipated that by 2010 the total number fund of a new hotel chain will reach 1500 numbers.
